This Victorian semi-detached house had already been extended by the previous owner but the ground floor was poorly configured and the roof badly built. We aimed to open up the ground floor, creating a generous kitchen, dining and living area by removing a load bearing spine wall and better utilising the overall space.
Two sets of anthracite grey bi-fold doors allows for both sides of the staggered rear elevation to open up onto the generous rear garden. A large island unit acts as the centerpiece of the kitchen, accommodating the hob, storage and a wine cooler. Four large rooflights sit directly above the dining table, allowing sunlight and space into the kitchen extension. Further inside the house, a living space capitalises on less natural light to create a cosy sofa and TV space.
